Stop # 3: Lee County Public Library in Pennington Gap

Why would a foreign tourist want to go to the local library??  well, for one thing, there's Wi-Fi running at the library now...

and, for those of us with American ancestors, the Lee County Public Library in Pennington Gap offers an incredible local reference area: an amazing collection of Lee County history and genealogy books, complete with information marriage and obituary records...

I had an absolute ball hanging out in the library in Pennington Gap yesterday.  Here's some photos from Stop # 3 of 30:  Lee County Library in Pennington Gap.  One of the photos of town, taken from in front of the library,

shows that most of the leaves are still green right now... but that will be changing dramatically soon.... and we'll be talking some more about Daniel Ellis since he's featured on the new Virginia Civil War Trails interpretive marker in Keokee (also known as the "Morrises Civil War Feud" marker on the new Virginia-Maryland Civil War Trails printed brochure).
