Stop # 23: Pinnacle Overlook standing in the western tip of Virginia

My buddies Martha and Pren came from Abingdon and St. Paul to be tourists with me for two days.  On Friday, I took them to Pinnacle Overlook, which is in the very western tip of Virginia, at the border of Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee.  The venture to Pinnacle Overlook began with a curvy drive up, up, up the mountain.  As we got higher up on the mountain, the leaves were more colorful.
The border disputes between Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina went on forever.

Pren wore her woodland fairy Halloween costume to add fun festivity to our outing.  Other tourists enjoyed chatting with Pren the Woodland Fairy and one tourist even had Pren pose with her for a photo.  Fun!  Even though the air is a bit chilly these days, folks were really enjoying being out in the sunshine.

Lots of tourists showed up while we were at Pinnacle Overlook.  Tags in the parking area included Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky, of course, and Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, Florida, and New Jersey.

Nice restroom facilities are available at the parking area.

A picnic area is available at a pull-off on the way up the mountain.

One foot in Virginia and one foot in Kentucky!
