Haunted Houses Scattered Across Lee County

The Haunted House is at the "corner" of Old Woodway Road and Freeman Hollow Road.

 

Took these pictures today at the entrance to a Haunted House running on Fridays and Saturdays.  Sue Crockett and I were on our way to Lovelady Gap.

More Haunted Houses are being advertised in the Powell Valley News this time of year as always.  Every year, the churches and schools run Fall Festivals on the weekends, during the first half of October.  During the last half of October, the Haunted Houses are running, including the popular Pumpkins in the Park weekend in Wilderness Road State Park.

"Tent of Terror every Saturday in October from Dark til 11pm.  Located on Hardys Creek Road, Jonesville. Walk through a Haunted Tent and a scary corn field along the woods and into the graveyard.  $5 per person.  276-346-3556 for directions.  You must enter at your own risk."

St. Charles Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring a Haunted House on Friday and Saturday nights October 11-12, 18-19, and 25-26.  In addition, the Haunted House will be open the week of Monday - Saturday, October 28 through November 2.  The Haunted House begins at 6pm each night.

Wilderness Road State Park will host the annual Halloween special event, Pumpkins in the Park, on Friday and Saturday, October 25 - 26.  Highlighted by the wildly popular Haunted Trail Hayride, this year's event will again feature children's activities, contests and the community based Trunk-or-Treat.  Admission is $5 per vehicle each night.  Event website:  http://www.friendsofwildernessroad.org/pumpkins.html

Long Hollow Christian Church 6-8pm (Food, prizes, pumpkin decorating, games, activities.  Directions: West of Pennington Gap turn on to Ward Hill Road, go two miles, turn on to Long Hollow Church Road.)
